According to an early report from Ben Nevis, conditions were mild and a bit dreich lower down but colder, wet and breezy after halfway - better for runners than supporters.
Veteran Ian Holmes (Bingley) won the race for his 6th time, finishing in 1:32:57. Under-23 runner Ricky Lightfoot (Ellenborough) was second, and Danny Hope (Pudsey and Bramley) third. The top dozen included representatives from Lochaber (Finlay Wild, David Rodgers), HELP (Brian Marshall), Carnethy (Steven Fallon) and Westerlands (Manny Gorman).
Angela Mudge (Carnethy) was first woman in 1:48:28, and the first woman to run sub 1:50 since Angela Carson in 1986. Jackie Lee (Eryri) just pipped last year's winner Sharon Taylor (Bingley) by 2 seconds for second place.
